From Slavery to Freedom - Choose Wordpress

 If you are intending or have already freed yourself from the slavery of website and have moved your loyalty to Word Press, here are some great tips on how to maximize your chances to be found by just the right people.1) Post consistently and often, very often.  Create small relevant articles and write them up.

2) When writing, assign the category and tags (which are like keywords) before you click on “Publish” (click on “Save draft” instead).  Apparently once it’s up, it only takes Google minutes to find the post and assign it according to what we tell it.  If post and then make changes it can take Google weeks to find us again.

3) Before you write, think of 3-4 keywords that you want to use for tags, then add them into your post several times.

4) Make sure the tags are truly relevant (don’t tag an article on ‘marketing’ with a ‘dog training’ tag)

5) Post into only 1 category then cross reverence with the tags.  That means your categories need to be well-thought out to start with.

6) Check on top (right under the ‘Add new post” where the permalink is stated.  The last part can be edited. Edit it to a point where it makes sense but simplify as much as you can.
